# The MN7R Guide to Agro-Commodity Brokerage: Early Chapters MN7R is starting a free practical book project for agri-commodity brokers. The working title is **Agro-Commodity Brokerage: A Practical Guide from Zero to the Market**. The simpler public title is **The MN7R Guide to Agro-Commodity Brokerage**. This is not the full book yet. It is the first public **Early Chapters** release: a concise opening fragment for brokers, future brokers and market people who want a clear, practical introduction to grain and oilseed brokerage. The book is written for people who work close to the market, not for people trying to impress a conference room with decorative vocabulary. A broker needs terms, yes. But a broker also needs to know what those terms do when there is a real cargo, a real buyer, a real seller, a real delivery window and a very real possibility that logistics will ruin everyone's afternoon. ## Why we are doing this Agro-commodity brokerage is often learned the hard way. Someone joins a desk, opens Telegram, sees offers, bids, counters, basis names, port names, station names, quality notes, freight assumptions, client nicknames, and then politely pretends this is all obvious. It is not obvious. The profession has its own logic: - physical commodities are not abstract price charts; - wheat is not just wheat; - price without basis is half a sentence; - logistics can change the whole deal; - brokers do not simply forward messages; - execution starts where the easy part ends; - modern teams need structured workflow, not only heroic memory and ten chat windows. The goal of this book is to systematize that logic in a practical way. ## Who the book is for The book is mainly for: - brokers already working with MN7R or preparing to work with MN7R; - beginner brokers entering grain and oilseed brokerage; - brokers from adjacent backgrounds, such as maritime, logistics, sales or operations; - teams that need a shared language for offers, bids, matches, trades and execution; - future onboarding and training use. It should also become useful later as structured knowledge for broker-assistant workflows and AI skills around MN7R. That only works if the human version is clear first. Bad explanations do not become clever because a model reads them. They just become automated confusion. ## What is inside the Early Chapters The Early Chapters cover: 1. Introduction: why this book exists 2. What are grain and oilseed agro-commodities 3. Why this market is special 4. Who is who in the chain: farmer, elevator, trader, broker, processor, exporter 5.
